Our Beliefs

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

AS A CHURCH

OUR THREE MAIN BELIEFS

THE AUTHORITY OF SCRIPTURE

The Bible is God’s inerrant and authoritative Word, guiding faith and practice.

SALVATION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH

Salvation comes only through Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection, received by faith alone.

THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH

The church exists to make disciples, baptize believers, and teach God’s commands, fulfilling the Great Commission.

OUR BELIEF is that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, made possible through His death and resurrection.

OUR BELIEF is that the church is called to fulfill the Great Commission by making disciples, baptizing believers, and teaching God’s commands.

OUR BELIEF is that the Bible is God’s inerrant and authoritative Word, serving as the ultimate guide for faith and practice.

Our Affiliation

First Baptist Church of Belton is proudly affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, standing firmly on the foundation of God’s Word and the timeless truths of the gospel. As a church committed to biblical teaching, evangelism, and discipleship, we joyfully partner with the SBC to advance the mission of Christ both locally and globally. Through this affiliation, we unite with like-minded believers to proclaim the good news, support missions, and serve communities with the love of Jesus. Rooted in faith and guided by the Baptist Faith & Message 2000, First Baptist Belton remains dedicated to sharing God’s grace, strengthening families, and equipping believers to live out their calling for His glory.
